Empowering the Next Generation of Union Health Nurses

The Bhuptani Nursing Scholarship was established through the generosity of Dr. Anand D. Bhuptani and Dr. Trupti A. Bhuptani to support aspiring nurses who are dedicated to serving patients and improving community health.

This distinguished full-ride scholarship provides comprehensive financial assistance to a deserving student enrolled in Ivy Tech Community College’s Associate of Science in Nursing Degree program—removing financial barriers so they can focus fully on learning, training, and becoming a compassionate nurse at Union Health.

A Commitment to Compassion and Excellence

The Bhuptani Scholarship reflects a lasting commitment to the values that define Union Health nurses: excellence, empathy, and service. Recipients of this award will complete their nursing degree without the burden of tuition or related expenses, preparing them to make a meaningful impact on patient care and community well-being.

Award Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Demonstrated financial or socio-economic need that may otherwise prevent completion of the degree. Completing the FAFSA is preferred.
  • Evidence of resilience and success in overcoming challenges to thrive in Ivy Tech’s rigorous nursing program.
  • Good academic standing and acceptance into Ivy Tech Community College’s Associate of Nursing Degree.
  • A clear commitment to pursuing a nursing career at Union Health after graduation.
  • Preference given to students residing in Vigo, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Clay Counties; other counties will be considered where Union Health has a presence.

If you are an Ivy Tech nursing student who is passionate about caring for others and committed to serving your community, we invite you to apply for the Bhuptani Nursing Scholarship.

Applications due Monday December 1st by 11:59 pm and award notifications by mid-December.
