Candidates for the Bhuptani Excellence in Service Award will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Proven Impactful Contributions: Candidates must demonstrate a history of significant contributions that have positively affected patient care, team dynamics, or organizational culture at Union Health.
- Inspiration and Leadership: A hallmark of this award is the ability to inspire others. Candidates should showcase their leadership qualities in motivating colleagues, fostering teamwork, and cultivating a spirit of cooperation and support in their work environment.
- Commitment to Community Engagement: Candidates must illustrate their dedication to positive change within the communities they serve. This may include initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes, addressing social determinants of health, or actively participating in community outreach programs.
- Alignment with Union Health’s Mission: Candidates must point to how their actions and contributions align with Union Health’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of the communities served and promote health equity.
To be eligible for the Bhuptani Excellence in Service Award, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- The candidate must be in good standing and have been employed at Union Health for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years by the nomination year.
- Any employee who has been previously nominated may be re-nominated, provided that they have not been chosen as a recipient of the same award within the last three (3) years.
- Previous winners of this award are not eligible for re-nomination for three years. After this period, only new materials not previously submitted will be accepted for review.
- Employees with a compensation grade of director level or higher are not eligible.
